This Privacy Policy describes how Arka Equinox Gaming Studio ("we", "us", "our"), a sole proprietorship in India, collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website at arkaequinoxgs.com, any mobile application or game we publish now or in the future on the Apple App Store or Google Play (collectively, "Apps"), and when you contact us. This policy applies to all Apps we offer under the Arka Equinox brand unless a specific App provides a separate notice that supplements this policy.
These policies describe how Arka Equinox Gaming Studio operates today. They are not a substitute for professional legal advice. Update them when you add new data practices, SDKs, or monetisation features.
1. Data controller and contact

2. Scope and other documents
This policy covers our website and all Apps we publish, including Your AI Journal and future games and utilities.
Use of our Apps is also governed by our End User License Agreement (EULA) and, where applicable, our Terms of Service and Cookie Policy.
Apple App Store and Google Play have their own terms and privacy practices for downloads, payments, and platform services.
3. We do not sell your personal information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their independent marketing.
We do share certain data with advertising and infrastructure partners as described below so they can provide services on our behalf — for example, delivering ads or hosting our website. Where regional law treats that sharing as a 'sale' or gives you an opt-out right, you may contact us at info@arkaequinoxgs.com to exercise applicable rights.
4. Our website
Our website is an information site. You can browse it without creating an account.
We do not install Vercel Web Analytics, Google Analytics, or similar visitor-tracking SDKs in our website code.
We do not display third-party advertising on the website.
Our host (Vercel) processes standard server and CDN logs — such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps — for security, delivery, and reliability. That is operational logging, not behavioural marketing analytics.
5. Information we collect
The data we collect depends on which App you use and which features and permissions you enable. Categories include:
- Contact data: email address and message content when you write to us.
- User content: text, journal entries, notes, gameplay progress, scores, preferences, and other content you create or upload in an App.
- Media and permissions-based data: photos, audio recordings, camera input, approximate or precise location, contacts, or calendar data only if an App requests permission and you grant it.
- Device and app data: device model, operating system, app version, language, time zone, crash logs, and performance diagnostics.
- Purchase data: transaction identifiers, product IDs, and entitlement status from Apple or Google when you buy in-app bundles or digital items. We do not receive or store your full payment card or bank account numbers.
- Advertising and identifier data: when you use Apps that show ads, our ad partners (including Google AdMob) collect or receive advertising identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA or Google's Advertising ID where available), ad interaction events, IP address, device type, and similar signals needed to deliver, cap frequency of, and measure ads.
- On-device AI processing: in Apps such as Your AI Journal, journal text is processed on your device using an on-device Qwen model for insights and coaching. We do not send that journal content to our servers for cloud AI processing unless we clearly disclose otherwise in a future App.
6. How we use information
We use information to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve our website and Apps.
- Provide features you request, including gameplay, journaling, and on-device AI assistance.
- Process and restore in-app purchases sold through Apple App Store or Google Play only.
- Display third-party advertising in our Apps, including banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads, and measure ad delivery and performance.
- Respond to support requests and send service-related communications.
- Enforce our terms, prevent fraud and abuse, and protect security.
- Comply with law and respond to lawful requests.
7. Advertising in Apps
Our Apps display third-party advertising through Google AdMob and similar mobile advertising partners on iOS and Android. This includes formats such as banners, interstitials, and rewarded videos.
Ad partners may process advertising identifiers and usage signals subject to your device settings, including App Tracking Transparency (iOS) and Google Play / device ad personalisation controls (Android).
Rewarded ads are optional where offered — you choose whether to view them in exchange for in-app benefits.
We do not control every creative or landing page shown by third-party ad networks. To report an inappropriate ad, use the ad network's feedback tools or contact us at info@arkaequinoxgs.com.
We do not show third-party ads on arkaequinoxgs.com.
9. Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: contract (providing the App or website); legitimate interests (security, support, product improvement, and non-personalised analytics where permitted); and consent where required (optional permissions, personalised ads, and non-essential cookies if added later). You may withdraw consent where applicable without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
10. India
If you are in India, you may have rights under applicable law, including access, correction, erasure, and grievance redressal. Contact info@arkaequinoxgs.com. If unresolved, you may escalate as permitted under applicable Indian data protection rules.
11. United States (including California)
We do not sell personal information for money. Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights to know, delete, or correct personal information and to opt out of certain sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising. Contact info@arkaequinoxgs.com to submit a request. We will verify and respond as required by applicable law.
12. Retention
User content in Apps is stored primarily on your device unless an App clearly states that it syncs to cloud storage. You can delete content within the App where the feature is available.
Support emails and related correspondence are retained for up to 12 months after the request is resolved, then deleted unless law or an active dispute requires longer retention.
Purchase records we receive from platforms are kept as long as needed to honour entitlements, taxes, and accounting obligations.

13. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to certain processing. Email info@arkaequinoxgs.com with your request and the App name. We will respond within applicable legal timeframes.
You can limit ad tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and Android Settings → Google → Ads. Uninstalling an App stops further data collection through that App, subject to retention described above.
14. Children
Our Apps and website are not directed to children under 13 (or the higher minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided us information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Because our Apps contain advertising, they are intended for general audiences meeting minimum store age requirements, not young children.
15. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information we handle. No system is perfectly secure. Use device lock, biometrics, and OS updates where available.
16. International transfers
We are based in India. Information may be processed in India, the United States, the European Union, or other countries where our service providers (including Google and Apple) operate, with safeguards where required by law.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when we launch new Apps, add features (such as cloud sync or new ad formats), or when law changes. The 'Last updated' date shows the current version. Material changes to Apps may also be communicated in-app or via store update notes where appropriate.
Continued use of our Apps or website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
